"CONSCIENCE IS THE LIGHT OF SOUL"

A wrist watch, a green hairband, a black hair clip, a black bead necklace strew on the ground as remnants of yet another honour killing. Such barbaric acts continues even now aftr 186 years  since the abolition of Sati. Still the Government remains silent in fear of the fearless.What a pity?

The road infront is blocked, there's no way ahead I am stuck here without even knowing the right direction- to move ahead; coz I am lost!I am alone! I can't yell, because a knife has cut into my throat I can't breathe,my windpipe is blocked The wound  isn't healing, every inch of my body pains The blood that runs through my vessels is shivering Words can't define the agony ,how it hurts when you lose your alter ego; because he was my life Donno why he left me alone in the darkness I am feeling empty and there's fire in my stomach My attire is burning, my soul has been ripped into pieces I am standing alone in this barren land, Crying in fear and despair, I am lost!

I was about to fly, from the edge of a mountain , With my wings of dreams spread Confidence  filled in my mind But then I slipped off the edge My wings soon detached from me Frightened and bewildered, I was falling Realised, it was no less a skyfall ! Wind was so sharp that I closed my eyes In fear of the end and the pain But a heavenly power held me in his arms And I landed safely over the mound, Mound of dead remains of hopes and dreams I noticed my wings also lay there Standing over the mound looking at the mountain I wished to yell but stood numb It was cold and dark, and I need to get away With all my courage and strength I have to rise, rise above all !

The same eyes which once longed for a glance of love and care  is now deep set in the wisdom of mere truth of life. The same eyes that once shed tears in the pain of lost love  is now in quest of life's true passion. And my tender heart that was solely bound to his name  realises today everthing was just a hallucination.
