Transform INDIA! SKILL INDIA not by words, by action!

UNEMPLOYMENT, POVERTY, UNPRODUCTIVE FIRMS, CORRUPTION AND MERE ABSENCE OF INDIGENOUS TECHNOLOGY.Indian soceity is burdened with all these problems. Unemployment has become the curse of the soceity. But why? Why is India lagging behind in technology from  that of developed countries . Do we not have skilled engineers? Do we Indians don't have brains? No. Off course we have. That's why  Indians represent the top of all leading companies across the Globe. Then what is the problem? I feel sorry to say but everything has only one main reason. Our unscientific education system which has now become a factory that produces  machines with the same design and programs. Schools have become xerox machines that produces the replica of same sheet over and over again over a period of time. Educational Institutions  and Government offices are filled with reserved ones than deserved ones. Reservation has become the motto of Indian soceity. A way to preserve the dark shades of caste system which is the key feature of Indian soceity.  Intellectuals of early Independent India propounded reservation system to uplift the dalits and other lower caste people who were deprived of all rights and treated without dignity and it was the need of the hour , I agree. But deacades passed by, soceity has transformed. We are now globalised, liberalised and even digitalised. Then why creeping in the chains of age old system of reservation .
Government has introduced  the SKILL INDIA  campaign with much hype and publicity and many missions  are attached to it also. Let's see how it works. But it will not be complete unless transforms are introduced in the present education system where say , a score of 10 is moderated  by 40 and declared passed to next level. Who is benefited by this method of loading marks to the answer sheets of Students who didn't reproduce anything on paper? Is this the only way of  making students pass in an academic year. The cardinal problem is the method of judging students by the marks they score. If a student scores low in a single subject means that he is inefficient or useless? No.definitely not because you are not trying to analyse his hidden talents. Education is complete only when a person comes out with wings of his skill. Every individual is unique with some or other talents. Discover his talent and empower him to succeed in that direction not according to the  marks obtained on an answersheet.
How many Olympians do we have? What is India's ranking in 2016 Rio Olympics. Can India capture world's attention by winning 50 gold medals? Why is India lagging behind than so many under developed economies in athletics? Answer to this question is  a solution to another question. How many schools in India give proper platform for students in sports and athletics. How many schools give proper training. Even if given, are the students recruited to national level games? All India council of sports which was set up last year works just as an advisory body. It should have more powers and monitor all the recruiting process of athletes to national and inter national level games. Government shall sponsor students from school level itself who perform well in various sports.Sports Authority of India shall have more coaching centers along the length and breadth of country . School sports shall be given more priority and various talents needs to be recognised and recruited to various coaching centers under state's responsibility.
What is the condition of schools in the remote interiors of India ?Are there qualified teachers or proper infrastructure?Free education alone should not be the criteria for social upliftment. Govt shall be responsible for quality education. What happens after School level education. Many may drop their studies and many may be forced to take reserved seats in Engineering or Medical colleges. Are they fit for those seats? Are they interested or its just the interest of society to make them professionals?A student who walks say about 3 or 4 kms to reach school from his home which may be in any remote place will be more fit for Athletics than an urban child who is blessed with all basic infrastructure and facilities, if given proper training. But are we utilising his skill or just ignoring it? Yes. we have the example of many like Mary kom, Vijendhar Singh who fought with their circumstances and evolved as sports icons of the country. The tribals if given proper training can be tomorrow's gems in various martial arts and sports and they can remain close to their culture also. Another possibility for upliftment of tribals is their co-operation in the growth of ayurveda and eco-tourism . The various tribes living along the forests in western ghats may have better knowledge of various medicinal and indigenous plant species of that region than the officers of forest department.  The government  should take initiatives for their active participation in conservation of forests while ensuring their rights also.Likewise, their knowledge about medicinal plants can be properly used for the growth of ayurveda by incorporating them in research and giving them dignified positions and emoluments.
Its late for an action but atleast make sure its not delayed further!
